EVENT OVERVIEW


Join in the fun on the glorious island and celebrate Pride, fight for LGBT+ rights across the globe and celebrate the unique LGBT+ community.

Pride Parade

Pride is a protest and people are encouraged to bring their banners, whistles, flags and colourful clothing. The Pride parade has historically been about standing up as a community, making a stand against hate and showing that Love Wins. You are invited to come and join us in this colourful, political and diverse event from 12 noon onwards.

Frequently Asked Questions


Q: When are the event opening and closing times? 
A: The Parade will start from Ryde School at 12am. The Pride site will be open from around 11.00am the event will end promptly at 10pm and the site must be cleared by 10.30pm.  The last readmission will be at 6.30pm

Q: What times are the various acts performing? 
A: Check out our Lineup page in this guide for the approx stage times and running orders for the main stage, Dance Area, Community Stage and The London Hotel Cabaret Tent

Q: Where are the toilets located?
A: There are various toilets located throughout the Pride Site including disabled toilets, a mobiloo and various toilets in the venues around the pride site, please speak to one of our fantastic volunteers and our friendly Security staff.

Q: Where is the Medical Area located?
A:  If you’re feeling unwell or have hurt yourself, speak to the nearest volunteer or member of the medical support team, you can also head to the medical tent located the green zone (grass area Nr the beach) where you will be very well looked after.

Q: Is there a Lost Property area?
A:  If you have lost a personal item speak to one of our volunteers who will point you to the Aspire welfare tent , here you can leave your details and you will be contacted should the item be handed in. If you have found an item please hand to your nearest volunteer who will record this for you.

Q: Are we allowed to film the event?
A:  Most definitely! Use your phone on your camera and share your memories with us by using the hashtag #IOWnMyDestiny. Or Tweet/Instagram @iwpride and share on Facebook /iwpride.

Q: Do you have to pay to get into the bars on site?
A: The only bars which are chargeable are the VIP bars. The Pride VIP bar which you will need to book in advance and have a wristband to enter. This has SOLD OUT . The Balcony have a VIP bar with an entrance fee of £5. All other bars are free to access if you are an Adult with an Adult wrist band.

Q: Can I bring anything onto the site with me? 
A: Small bags and bottles of water are allowed, but please remember the usual security guidelines when bringing a bag on site. No glass bottles, no alcohol, no drugs and definitely no weapons. We only welcome love on this site! xx

Q. Will there be queues to get on/off site?
A: We are working closely with all security services, in the light of the currents threat levels to ensure everyone’s safety. Please try and avoid bringing bags as this can slow down the entrance process. Please bear with us and be patient as you enter the site.
